However, my brother in law RYAN, took forever to post his pictures and just got around to it last night after I had done all my blogging, etc. Well, I thought some of these pictures just had to be added to the collection.

Cousins' Cruise

The cruise, the cruise, it's all about the cruise. I admit it, so homesick for this vaca and my family. No doubt this trip will go down as one of the greater experiences of life. The weather was perfect, the entertainment was perfect, the food was awesome, the sites were incredible, and the company....my soul mates.

The first day we drove to Cali and spen the day playing. We went to the Regan Library which Danjee ate up. We literally had to pull him out of the place.

After the Regan Library we went to the LA Temple Visitors' Center.

The next day we were fit to be tied. Couldn't wait to get on the boat and meet up with the rest of our group. And then..............it finally happened. We were in heaven from that moment til we stepped off of the boat.

Jenna won the contest for identifying the most celebreties. Phil and I tried to copy her but we totally couldn't keep up with the Marie/Jenna team. They so totally rocked.

Then, Mike gave us quite the chuckle by participating in the game show.......and won (of course). Needless to say, our family was putting in a really good showing on this love boat.

Here was the view outside our balcony that night. Unbelievable. A little piece of heaven.

The next day was a whole day at sea. Don't worry, we kept ourselves entertained. :-)

The first formal Night:

Cabo: Loved it!

Danj, Ryan and I had to go scuba diving of course. It was incredible like everything else.

I grabbed this fish and squoze it a bit and then all of a sudden it puffed up like a baloon. Boom baby!

Danj and Ryan got to see this six foot shark. The instructor actually reached under its chin and tickled it to get it to move.

We ate lunch after at a little place down the main strip. The food rocked and so did the Fanta.

Some of my favorite women ever. How did I get blessed to have these ladies in my life? I must have done something so right in the pre-existence. That, or they did something reallly wrong and got stuck with me. Haha!

We went (well kind of snuck) into a resort on the coast of Cabo. Can I say private beach, pool, spa, etc.? That was the life, I tell ya.

Becky was stoked.

At one point, we could see this huge black area in the water. We realized it was a school of fish and then all of a sudden a pod of sea lion came and there was a freakin' feeding frenzy!!!! Did I just write freakin? I so did.

We totally chilled and soaked up plenty of sun.

The boys played tackle three flies up, but it was kind of different with their own rules. I'm not sure what the point was but some serious physical torture. It was fun for us girls to watch though, that's all that matters, right?

The next pictures begin with our zipline in Puerta Viarta. It. Was. Awesome. Breathtaking really. Danj and I went on a zipline in Hawaii and let's just way, it was okay, but we were not over the top impressed. This zipline, however, was incredible and the guides were hilarious. Save me super Mexican!!!!

At the end of the zipline there was a restraunt so we ate lunch there (we kind of had no choice). It's a good thing the food was good.

Then, there was the snake our waiter passed around the table. So thoughtful.

After lunch we walked around the streets of Puerta Viarta. So fun.

Here is the dear friend we made on the cruise named Frenchy. What a riot. I don't know what else to say. My family will understand.

All the ladies singing Karaoke. We totally bombed. I will never listen to the song "RESPECT" again without having nightmares.

Here is the magician/hypnotist with Katie (it was her birthday). His card tricks were dumbfounding. His hypnotism on the other hand........... lame.

He was our A*M*A*Z*I*N*G waiter Manuel. Simply put, we loved him. Some people you just want to steal and shove them in your pocket and carry them around. He was one of my pocket people.

Can I just say, we totally rocked the dance club??? We had zero alcohol in us and we schooled every single person on that boat. It's the truth.

The waiters all danced and sang for us every night for dinner. Our waiter had serious moves. I think he spied on us while we were dancing in the Red Carpet Room and stole our killer moves.

I will end here, but seriously, only half has been told and that's all there it to it. I cried for a few days after I got back (I'm totally not lying) because I miss everyone and was sad it was over. Projects

When I finished the Fall semester in December, I made a list of projects I wanted to accomplish during my break. The following are some little sumthins I've been up to:

First, I needed my bedroom set redone desperately!!! Here are some BEFORE pictures:

My friend Jessica Slade refinished all of my bedroom set and did an amazingly beautiful job. I am so happy with how it all turned out. You can check out her stuff at http://fadedtofab.blogspot.com/. She's amazing.

Then, on to my next project which Jessica Slade worked her wonders again! I wanted my kitchen cabinets refinished as well. Here is a BEFORE picture you can see in the background:

Another project was to finally fill my apothecary jars with something. I got this picture off of pinterest:

I wasn't a fan of the words on the jars but I liked the look of what they had in them and they are three things that my family loves and we will actually use and refill them with. Here is how mine turned out:

I also replaced the net and pad on my trampoline. I don't have a before picture but just picture a trampoline with a net and pad that were torn to shreds. Here is the completed project:

I also redid all of my flower planters which took me a total of two FULL days!!! It took forever and my back can prove it. I swear it still hasn't recovered. Here is a picture of the dead flowers that were in there before:

Some other projects included replacing my old wood stools with new rod iron ones, replacing some family pictures around the house, refinishing my shelves (which Jessica Slade did for me), and reading every book I've been wanting to read for the past six months. It has been a great break from school. I start up again on the 30th, but first, Danjee and I are going on a cruise with all of my married siblings and some of my cousins. I am too excited for words.

Taryn's 12 Year Old Birthday Party!

Taryn turned twelve last weekend. I only do parties for my kids every four years so guess what? This was the year for a party for Taryn. Here are all the girls getting warm by the fire and getting ready to play the penny game.

After the penny game they all came in the house for a three course meal!!! Little did they know the menus were in code and some of the food they had to eat with their hands if they didn't order their utensils.

We sang Happy Birthday to Taryn first since the cake and ice cream were part of the meal.

She insisted on having Trew on her lap which made picture taking a little difficult.

Taryn was trying to eat her ice cream with whipped cream with no utensils when Hannah Oram slammed her face into her bowl. Lovely!

After dinner we had a Just Dance Competition. So funny to watch them!

Then, Taryn opened her presents. She got some of the cutest stuff. Each girl was so thoughtful with the presents they got for her. She got spoiled wrotten!

Then we did feathers in all of the girl's hair as they watched the movie Ice Princess. It was a great night for Taryn...................and I am so glad to have it over with.

Bunco

Well, it was my turn again to have Bunco at my house. My bunco group has been together for about five years now and still going strong. It is a good way to get out with the girls and to get to know the women in my neighborhood better. For those of you who are not Bunco fans, take your opinions elsewhere! Haha! I decided to do a Mexican Food buffet complete with chicken mini burros, taco soup, chips &salsa, chicken & bacon quesidillas, and seven layer bean dip cups. For desert I had an assortment of different cookies (white chocolate macadamia, chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle).

This picture is everything minus the burros and quesidillas. They were in the oven keeping warm. They went on the two glass platters right of the red water jug.

I got this idea of of pinterest to make individual seven layer bean dip cups. They were fun!

These were mine minus the onion, tomatoes and olives on the top. You never know if everyone is going to like all that stuff on it or not.

Fun night ladies although I still wish I got the Valentine sign that Molly brought (darn you Melissa!!!) However, I still got a really cute decorative box out of the night that I now have my lotions in by my dresser in my room. It looks quite smashing if I do say so myself.

Today my oldest and only daughter turned twelve. Where did the time go? I remember distincly my pregnancy with her. I was so sick. I lost twenty pounds because I was so sick with her for the entire pregnancy. When Taryn was born, she w...as not breathing because her lungs colapsed. She was gray when she came out and before I knew it, ten or so nurses and hospital staff swarmed into the room and whisked her away to N.I.C.U. She was a little spitfire from the start and recovered from that little set back with flying colors. Danjee keeps trying to convice me to have another baby by convincing me that it would be a daughter. I tell him, "Why would I need another girl? I already have the perfect daughter." AND SHE IS!!! She is so well rounded with enough of girlie in her but enough spunk to love sports and hanging with her brothers. I love you Taryn, more than you will ever know! Happy Birthday.

For the third year in a row we were priviledged to welcome in the New Year with the Howell family and other close friends at the Howell's cabin. We always have such a good time, lots of laughs, great food and the kids play their hearts out. It was the best way to bring in 2012. The kids had fun playing games, jumping on the bounce house, playing in the snow and being together.

Christmas 2011

So, if you look at my blog entries for Christmas every year, you will find that we do the same things traditionally every single year........we love it. Our consistent Christmas traditions consist of Christmas Eve dinner at my parents where my dad reads Luke and we eat a meal by candlelight that maybe Mary and Joseph would have eaten the night of the birth of the Savior. Then, my little family returns home where we open our Christmas Jammies, drink sparkling cider, read the book "Christmas Oranges", write down our yearly gift for the Savior and take family pictures. The next day we wake up, open presents and then go back to my parents' house for breakfast and lunch. The next day we open and put together all the presents and play with all of them as a family. It is the best. I love my little family so much. They are my world and the greatest Christmas gifts anyone could ever ask for.

Danjee's Masterpiece

As mentioned in an earlier post, Danjee hates putting up Christmas lights. He complains about it every year. So, much to my surprise and amazement, Danjee started putting up the lights without one word of complaint and the kicker.....without me even asking him. Not only did he put up the lights, but he went and bought more and dressed up our pillars and fence. Shocking! Here is his finished masterpiece:

I have the blessing of having two beautiful Ash trees in my front yard. They are big and wonderful and bring me more joy than I should admit. Every winter, I have the pleasure of watching the leaves on these two gorgeous trees gradually turn from bright green to bright yellow. I think they are breath taking:

Every year, my kids rake up the leaves and jump in the piles providing hours and hours of entertainment and joy. I get to watch them through my office window and many times I go and join in the fun. The other day, was one of the days I got to join them. Even Trew came out in his skivies!

I think there is something so beautiful about autumn leaves. Danjee, on the other hand, hates the mess they make and complains about them every year. However, my kids and I do a good job at ignoring him and enjoy them inspite of the grumbler.

What's Christmas without some holiday baking? My kids and I whipped these out for third Sunday dinner at my mom's this past sabbath. :-) We even painted faces on them! That's totally going above and beyond, ya know what I'm sayin'?

The Parable of the Flower

So, my beautiful flowers that I planted in the summer that I thought I would see if they would survive the winter???? Well, they are dead.....D*E*A*D. I have been planning on pulling them out for forever, but I just haven't gotten to it with all the holiday going ons. Danj was outside a couple of days ago and says, "Tiff, get your camera! I need you to take a picture." I come out and he is pointing at this one red flower that is still alive amongst all the sorry pathetic other flowers that gave into the FREEZE. Danjee insisted he would make an object lesson out of this surviving flower. What will the parable be on: Endurance, overcoming your environment, trials, being an individual......who knows? Stay tuned and maybe I will post Danjee's inspirational thoughts on this matter.

Concerts, Concerts, Concerts

Don't get me wrong, I love my kids' concerts, but it just comes at such a busy time of year. Ty had his the other night and the songs they sang were adorable. Unfortunately, seats and room were scarce and they packed all the kids in the asiles and stage for the grand finale. It got warm in there and all of a sudden I started breathing really fast and before I knew it.....full blown panic attack. I know, I have issues. I kept faning myself and closing my eyes and telling myself they would be done singing in a second and then I could get out of there. Then, without sending the kids back out to the rooms they were waiting in for parents to pick them up there, the choir director just said, there's all your kids so find them. It was mass chaos. I found Ty as soon as I could, grabbed my other two kids, found Danjee who was outside with the baby and got out of there as quick as I could. Can I just say CLAUSTRPHOBIA!!!!

Taryn had her first orchestra concert at her new school. It was phenomenal plain and simple. Their director is so talented and you can really tell that he loves what he does. I am excited for her to have him as her director these next few years.

FHE Idea

My friend, Jill, gave me this amazing idea for FHE the other day. My family was having a family date night this past Friday night so I thought it would be a good time for it. I went to the bank and got about $500.00 dollars in smaller bills and gathered my family all around me in the family room. I fanned out the money in front of them and said enthusiastically, "Look at all this MONEY!!" They were very impressed let me tell you. I went around to everyone in our family including Danjee and I and as we held the money, we each told of something we would spend the money on just for ourselves. I then played this video for them:

After the video, I told of my own personal experiences growing up in the family that I did and how often times, there wasn't enough money at Christmas time for presents. I told of people that gave us money anonymously, dropped presents at the door, and made sure our family got a little something at Christmas time every year. I cried to my children and told them how much that meant to me in my life and how grateful I was for others' sacrifices for me. Then Danjee talked to them about an experience he had in highschool of when he noticed a boy on his basketball team that had holes in his shoes but their family didn't have enough money to buy him a new pair. Danjee gave him the new pair his parents had gotten him because his old pair was still in pretty good shape. By this time my kids are very serious and the older two were crying. I then asked them what they thought we should do with this money. The vote was unanimous, "We should help someone around us!"

After our thought, we took dinner to a family in our ward that just lost their nine year old daughter to an infection after a routine surgery. Very sad. We went to dinner and then went to see the temple lights. These pictures are terrible because I forgot my camera and had to use my phone instead:

It's all about Wax

Taryn had her wax museum this past week at school. Her report was on Sitting Bull. I forgot to get a costume lined up for her so thanks to Amazon.com I got a costume ordered and delivered to my doorstep in two days. Love Amazon! Taryn did so good. She did her presentation word perfect.

I Always Look For Rainbows

I love rainbows, always have. I spotted this double rainbow while I waited to pickup Taryn from basketball. It's amazing that something so simple as a rainbow can make me just a little happier.

Finals

Well, this was my studying station for my Biology final. I had already taken my other three finals and gotten A's in the class. Biology on the other hand, was going to be quite the challenge. I layed all my materials out for each of the eight chapter that the final would be covering and alternated going through each chapter materials, flashcards, and reading material in the book for an entire week and a half straight. Saturday morning I went to take it and ........ I got what I needed. That's all I'm gonna say. I am more grateful than I can say that this class is out of my hair and now FREEDOM IS MINE!!!! Until I start all over again in February that is.

How did I make it through all those late nights of studying you ask???? I drank MILK! No you silly, I guzzled Diet Coke. Now I am paying for it with a serious headache because I have stopped drinking it now. Caffeine is evil people, but it sure gives me some extra pep! My closest friends could attest to that!

Decorating the Tree

Every Thanksgiving weekend Sunday, we decorate our Christmas trees with our kids. It's a tradition that we all look forward to. We break open some sparkling cider and decorate like crazy. I admit, I have a lot of decorations, so it takes two whole days to put them all up, but we wait to do the trees very last, because they are the funnest.

Trew was fascinated with the tree. This is obviously the first year he has noticed any of the Christmas going ons just because he was just a few months old last year.

I love watching him look at the tree and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that all my ornaments are plastic!!!

Thanksgiving Hike

One of the reasons this Thanksgiving was so fun is because we spent the entrie weekend together as a family, never once were we apart. We went for hike Saturday morning with the kids at the San Tan Mountains. The weather was beautiful.

We let Trew try to walk by himself. He lasted about ten steps and then:

He just popped a squat in the middle of the trail. We carried him the rest of the time.

I am not one for desert scenery but you have to admit, this is pretty.

K, it is totally like pulling teeth usually to get Danj to put up the Christmas lights. Can you imagine my surprise then, when out of his own volition, he just up and starts putting them up, with a spring to his step and a Christmas song in his heart no less??? I was shocked. Not only did he put our normal lights up, but he insisted on buying MORE and putting them up on our white vinyl fence. I will post the final product when I finally remember to go take a picture of the house at night.

Thanksgiving......Finally!

I know it took me awhile to get to catching up on my blogging but here I am catching up so stop complaining!!

Our Thanksgving this year was simply put.....amazing, and I am not being sarcastic. It was one of the best holiday weekends we have ever had.

It all started with some turkeys...........

We injected our turkeys with TONZZZZ O' Butter baby!

We stuffed them full of onions. Danjee and Ty got a little teary over that ordeal.....literally.

Taryn and I made the seven layer bean dip while Danj and Ty cried over the onions.

Then, it was time to wrap those turkeys in NINE layers of foil!!

Then, it was off to my parents' house for the bonfire and finally putting the turkeys in the pit around ten o'clock.

While we waited for the coals to die down, we watched a HIL-arious movie of Scott after getting his wisdom teeth out. Preston picked him up and Scott was being so goofy from the meds that Preston couldn't resist documenting the ordeal and making a laughing stock of Scott....it was great.

Danjee would NOT leave the fire. We had a gate up to keep the kids out, but Danjee took it upon himself to be the "fire guard" and I'm glad he did. It put all us parents at ease.

Thanksgiving morning we woke up, ate donuts galore, Danjee and Ty went to the ward's turkey bowl, then we got ready and headed over to mom and dad's house again for the opening of the "Pit".

The car hood came off and there was still heat smoke coming out of the dirt....good sign.

Here's the cooked turkeys!!! We had like fourteen of them in there.

Danjee pretended like he was falling in and made all of us gasp for a second.

He was pretty pleased at his little joke. :-)

This is where I kept Trew for most of the day. He is a wrecking ball these days and is much more manageable when he's contained in something.

Heidi and Robert's newest was blessed that day. All of the male Priesthood holders in our family brought church clothes and stood in the circle. Pretty amazing that every single male member was worthy to stand in that circle. I am so grateful for the men in my life.

Define Necessity

Six years ago today, Danjee was in a really serious dirt bike accident. He shattered his jaw, shattered his foot, had a serious head injury and he had a contusion to his lung that he had to be in ICU for. He was air vaced to Scottsdale Memorial and when I got there, Danjee didn't even know who I was! It was such a hard time for me because I was pregnant and hadn't told Danjee yet and I was having complications, the business was left for me to run completely on my own and I had Taryn and Ty I had to still take care of too. Danjee was in the hospital for almost a month and I was trying to juggle my kids, the business, being there for Danjee and talking to all the doctors to make sure Danj was getting the best care and any neccessary operations. I ended up miscarrying that baby at three months along. I can honestly say that those days were filled with some of my "darkest hours". But at night at the hospital when all the doctors and visitors had gone, as Danjee slept in his hospital bed, I would kneel down and pray to my Heavenly Father and tell him all my heartaches of the day and I would plead for his help to deal with the trials I was going through at the time. Always almost instantly, an absolute peace would wash over me and I could feel my Savior with me and I would be reassured again that everything would turn out okay.
Now when I look back at what happened this day six years ago, my heart is not filled with dark memories and heartache, but instead my mind immediately remembers those sweet experiences I had praying to my Heavenly Father as I humbly kneeled on my knees in that tiny hospital room pleading for His help. These memories fill me with strength and the knowledge that my Heavenly Father loves me and that in times of need He will not leave me comfortless, but is always there when I need Him.

Okay, totally love this time of year. One reason for the "love" is for the opportunity of sending out Christmas cards to our friends and family and letting them know how we are and that we love them. All the fun details we will shortly tell:

2011 has been an amazing year,

We have made memories we will forever hold dear.

Let’s start with Taryn; she’s the oldest after all.

She turns twelve in January and thinks YWs will be a ball!

Sports, student council, violin, piano and school, oh my!

Sometimes she is so busy she insists she will die.

Ty is our second, and got baptized in the spring.

He got his Wolf in scouts and to his Wii remote he clings.

He loves basketball and is on a league team,

He is the kindest “Big Brother” so it would seem.

Taevin is number three and very shy.

To be the center of attention makes him cry.

He is obsessed with all sports, he plays them all.

He is happiest when he and his dad play “ball”.

Trew is our baby, and what can I say.

He keeps us on our toes each and every day.

He hits our faces, climbs everywhere,

Escapes from the house and even pulls our hair!

But then he snuggles so cute and we always think

“Life without this baby would really stink!”

Danjee is still the best husband and Dad in our eyes.

His family is the first for him to prioritize.

He still works our glass company with all of his might.

The recent recession he continues to fight.

He teaches Gospel Doctrine and loves to study.

He’s doing a triathlon so the gym’s his new buddy.

Tiffany is busy with some significant things,

She went back to school, so we will see what that brings.

The finances of the company she still runs,

She’s been public speaking to youth and women for fun!

She loves being the Mom of this crazy group

Danjee and I are really trying to stick to our goals as far as our finances are concerned. We are still working valiantly on our Dave Ramsey "Baby Steps" and are trying really hard, especially this Christmas season, to live within a specified budget. This year, getting our pictures professionally done by someone was not in the "specified budget". :-( So, we got our family dressed up in clothes we already had, went out with our camera, and took our own Christmas pictures this year. Yep, we had to use the automatic timer and all. For the family picture, I got everyone set in their places, got the camera settings where I wanted them, threatened all the kids with bad terrible things if they didn't look at the camera and smile, pushed the button and ran and got into my place. Definintly not professional quality, but we thought these would do:

On the first Saturday in November, I went to Time out for Women with some ladies in my ward. This year for the first time, they had a program for girls twelve and up so I got to bring Taryn along. It was fabulour. My favorite speaker was Hillary Weeks. I am not a huge fan of her music, but she is a phemomenal speaker. Way impressed. It was a fun day spent with my Tare Bear.

Cub Scouts

This past pack meeting, Ty raked in the awards. He recieved three belt loops for music, fishing and basketball and a pin for basketball. Also, he got one gold arrow and three silver, and finally he earned his conservation patch. We are so proud of Ty and how hard he tries at scouts. I am excited for him and all the experiences he will have in this awesome program.

State Fair

So, for the first time since I was in Junior High, I went to the state fair and I took my kids. We went with a huge group of frends and I would have to say that it was a blast. Out the door we spent about $150.00. Not bad for a whole day of playing I thought.

Halloween 2011

Halloween was awesome this year. We did our neighborhood Halloween Block Party for the fifth year in a row. This year we went all out and had games, fry bread, desert, and we all lined our chairs up and just had the kids trick or treat on the street instead of walking house to house. It was heavenly on the feet.

I had a stupid Pirate Costume that I got for my kids Halloween party so I threw that on. It was too small. Oh well.

Annual Pumpkin Carving

We went to the annual pumpkin carving party at the Mclaws's house. I was particularly proud of Taevin's pumpkin because I helped him carve it. I know, pretty spectacular spider there.

Taryn helped me a ton with the baby who is at the IMPOSSIBLE stage right now.

Girls Trip to Newport!

My annual Girls' Trip with my gal pals did not disappoint this year. We had a beach house right off of Newport Beach (thanks to Luanne), and it was A*M*A*Z*I*N*G!!! We laughed, cried, ate ourselves sick, and created memories that we know we will cherish forever.

Here are some highlights from the trip:

Surfing!!! Yep, all put wet suits on (much to Shawna's chagrin) and dove right into the ocean (much to Stacy's chagrin) and surfed. I was the only one who had ever even tried it before so it was a new experience for almost all us. We were all pretty amazing, I'm just sayin'. We all got up and surfed into the shore at least once. Here's me modeling my sassy wetsuit while Shawna covers herself up with a towel. Funny girl.

Here is everyone actually in the ocean along with our instructors. They were awesome and so patient with us.

This was the best pic. I had because the owner guy of the surfing school was loony and wouldn't let us take pictures until the end.

Thirty-Three

Getting older is a wierd experience of life. You know time is passing with each new year, but I still feel like I am eighteen years old. I look at pictures of myself and it is wierd to see the signs of age like the wrinkles around my eyes when I smile, the forhead lines, etc. My metablolism also isn't what it used to be. It is wierd to decide to eat pizza one night and have to devote the whole next week to getting the weight off from that one splurged meal. Regardless of the whole "aging" process, I embrace getting older and the different experiences in life that that fact brings. No matter how old and wrinkly I get, I am grateful for added perspective and knowledge that I have attained and will continue to get throughout my life here on earth.

Mr. T-ball

Here is the Moser Family T-ball star: Taevin. He is doing so good! He hits really well and "gets" the game. Many of the kids who are four years old do not understand yet, so it's fun to watch him play. H loves to go out back and practice hitting the ball off the tee. He loves to play catch with Ty and Danj. Danjee is his coach this year so that has been good for the two of them.

Thank goodness for the park toys right next to where we play the games. Trew is such a hard baby and just wants to RUN!!! Taryn helps me so much with him. I love my kids!

Pirates Beware!!

We had our annual Halloween Party a bit ago. We did a Pirate theme. We played Halloween Bingo first (which I was surprised the kids like soooo much), then we did a gold coin search, played a candybar game and then watched the first "Pirates of the Carribean". It was fun and I am always impressed with how great my kids friends are. So well behaved.

The boys loved the dry ice in the cauldron. They played with the smoke for about twenty minutes straight.

I love Halloween. I am not sure why, but I totally do. I love the whole holiday season dang it! Bring on Thanksgiving baby!

Cousins

I would have usually put up a stink and said "no" so that we could do fun stuff as a family, but alas, I have school and am no fun AT ALL right now since I don't have a "fall break". Garage Sale

So, we had a garage sale yesterday. I have been anti-garage sale for years. The thought of putting my stuff out in my yard and expecting people to want to buy it makes me feel totally ridiculous....I know, probably an issue deserving of further investigation. Nevertheless, we are doing the Dave Ramsey plan for getting out of debt, and because of that we have had two yard sells this year!!! We have them to try to build up our nest egg since we are on baby step number 3 right now. Whoot, whoot!

Here's all our booty that we were trying to sell. We got rid of a lot of junk and $750.00 dollars later, we felt it was worth the time spent and the humiliation of having a yard sell in the first place. :-)

Volleyball Girl

Taryn is on the sixth grade volleyball team at her school. Her last game was last Thursday. I love how aggressive and determined she is when she plays sports...(seems to make up for a little lack of skill). She is getting better and better every time that I see her play. She had two really good hits and I was glad to have been able to make it. She makes me so proud in so many different ways. Love you sugar.

Halloween Decor

Sooooo, I admit it, I get a little carried away with my decor.....for all the holidays. I can't help myself. It brings me much joy. We got our decorations up last Saturday. The kids helped me a ton. They love it as much as I do.

I left for a few minutes and when I came back, this guy was stapled on the wall next to the web.

It was a spider I didn't know what I was going to do with and Danjee decided to put him up here. Looks like I'm not the only one getting into the decorating spirit. :-)

Baby Zandyr

Our friends Heidi and Hank had their baby a week ago at only twenty-four weeks! But whether anyone liked it or not, Baby Zandyr arrived early in the morning weighing 1lb. 9oz. Danjee and I got to see him on Wednesday night. What a sweet experience that was. The spirit was so strong and the peace surrounding this little man was such a comfort to Danjee and I. It was a reminder that these sweet babies are in Heavenly Father's hands and that he is mindful of them and their parents. We are praying for him and Heidi, Hank, and Jakey. We love you guys!

Ward Campout

Sooooo, I didn't go to the ward campout this year. Yep, I totally ditched out. We went camping the week before for our family reuinon and I had "had it" with my baby so there was no way I was going camping again. Danjee, being the super dad he is, took the three oldest kids to the ward campout. They had a blast with their awesome daddy and I had a ball getting caught up on my homework. :-) I got to watch a chick flick too, so I did have some "me" time and got to hang out with my little dude, Trew.

So, it's totally that time of year again.....raspberry jam time. Instead of making all one hundred and fifty jars at once, I am doing it in segments because my school schedule won't allow a project that demands that much time all at once. I look forward to this little tradition of mine, and I think about all the people I am making it for (for Christmas gifts) and how much they mean to me. Hopefully it tastes somewhat decent so these people that I love are happy about it too.

Mrs. Student Body President

Taryn came home from school on Tuesday with the announcement that she was running for student body president at her school. She made all of her posters that night and even came up with her campaign slogan. She put a picture of her scuba diving and put, "Come Explore and Discover" with Taryn Moser at President. She also made bookmarks and handed them out all week. Yesterday was the final election day and students that were running were required to give a speech. She wrote the speech all by herself, put her snorkel gear on her head, and "swam" onto stage and made the kids laugh. Then, she took the snorkel out of her mouth and gave the BEST speach. I couldn't believe she had written it all by herself. I had sent Danjee to it, because let's face it, my baby Trew is a nightmare. I send Danj with strict instructions about camera and videoing. He went in there with the camera on his shoulder and didn't take it out once. He totally forgot. Worthless I tell you. :-) Thank goodness my friend Kim Skinner was there to take pictures for me so I could at least document the experience. That day after school she came running into the house and broke the exciting news to me, "I WON!" I have to admit, I was elated and so proud of her. Love you sister.

Waterworld

Danjee and I love scuba diving. It is one of the funnest hobbies we do together. Danjee has been talking about renting scuba gear and letting the kids try it for a long time......so, Labor Day, that's what we did. The kids LOVED it. Thanks to the Shermans for letting us use their pool!!!

Later that afternoon we went to Grandma and Grandpa Wilcken's for a bbq. Here is one of the newer grandchildren on the Wilcken side. We had three babies born within a month of each other. This is Scott and Becky's baby Annabelle.

Trew fell asleep on our way there, so he was a bit out of it when we first arrived:

Smart Mom

Okay, I admit it, sometimes I really do have to own the title "Smart Mom". You can call it whatever you want.....bragging, tooting my own horn, concieted, etc. We did a lot of fun things this past summer. We went to movies, cooked together, swam together, read books together, vacationed together, but there is one thing we did that I have to admit, was one of the best and smartest things I did all summer.....and maybe even EVER. This event that surpasses all my other smart mother moments in life is none other than.................teaching my kids to clean. Yes, my kids always have had chores. I have always expected a lot of them as far as helping me with this responsibility and I don't accept any flack. But, this summer I taught my kids to really "clean". I sat with them for hours teaching them how to scrub a toilet, how to mop a floor, how to clean bathroom sinks, how to clean mirrors, how to sweep the floor, how to vaccuum and the list goes on and on. I admit it, sometimes I got frustrated, sometimes I wanted to scream and say "Never mind!!! What was I thinking??? I will just do it!" But by sticking to slowly and patiently teaching them all summer the end result is....drum roll please......we can clean the entire house in about three hours with all of us from top to bottom and it is literally sparkling by the end. I am so grateful that I took the time to do this because now with me doing school, there is no way I would have time to stay on top of all the house work on my own. I have to say, it was the best thing we did all summer.

Taevin doesn't quite catch the "drift" of chores but we make him do things right along with Taryn and Ty. This past Saturday he did yard work with Dad. They cut out the roots in our grass and they mowed the lawn. These two are a good team.

All in all, I am grateful for a family to work together with. I love that they have good attitudes and for the most part, like to work hard. I have really fond memories of working side by side with my siblings while growing up. These memories are ones that I cherish and also ones that taught me to work hard for things in life. Hopefully, I can pass down these same ideals and values to my own kiddos.

Moser Trek Family Reunion

Sunday Games

I admit it, we are pretty stict about what our kids "can" and "can't" do on Sundays. One of the things they "can" do is play games with each other. This is a game Ty and Taevin opened for the first time yesterday to play before church. It cracked me up. I don't know what it is called but the headbands have magnetic bees on them and whoever can get as many marbles on their bee without using their hands, wins.

So, it was a little later than the other two, but Taevin had his first day of school last week. He is so excited to be back with Miss Shelley. This is his third year with her and he loves it........now. Yes, there were the days where I had to take him kicking and screaming at the top of his lungs. Unlike my other two older kids, Taevin has always been very shy and just wanted to be at home with me. We have had a hard time getting him nursery, primary classes, and believe it or not, he will NOT play at any friend's houses (except for Crue's house of course). This year I got him all ready (I promise I washed off his face after this picture, what that is, I don't know), and then we took pictures and headed off to school. He wanted me to carry him up to the door, but then it was in the door with no problems at all.......sigh. Taevin is the oldest class now for preschool so they go three days a week for two and a half hours. I admit it, I miss him, but I am and always will be a baby that way. I know he is happiest with some diversity and social exposure during the week. Thank goodness I can pay someone else to do that for me. :-)

The Kids Aren't the Only Ones.....

So, the kids aren't the only ones that are getting back to school again......I start my own classes next Monday. I am so excited to be starting my college education again, but so scared and nervous too. My plan is to finish my associates of Art through Rio Salad, then transfer to ASU for their Bachelors Program in Human and Family Development. Then, a masters from ASU in counseling. All of these programs can be done online! Wee-hoo. I feel really "ready" for this step in my life. Everyone keeps asking me if I got my "answer" to be done with kids. As sad as it is to say good-bye to that era of life, I can honestly say that after serious prayer, fasting, and temple attendance, I feel at peace that our family is complete. It was because of this answer that I started praying about the whole "schooling" avenue and everything just panned out perfectly. How grateful I am for the knowledge that I can pray to a Heavenly Father for guidance that I am entitled to personal revelation through the Gift of the Holy Ghost. What a powerful strength that has been to me throughout my life. My prayer is that I will always remember that fact and blessing, and that I will continue to stay worthy of the spirit's presence so that I can have all the neccessary help I need in this adventure we call "LIFE". Heaven knows I need all the help that I can get! Wish me luck!

Well, it was unavoidable.......my kids went back to school yesterday. As hard as I dug my heels in and didn't want that day to come....it did. Yes, I cried....a lot. Some women understand me, and some think I'm crazy. I don't care either way. All I know is that I love my kids. They hold my heart, hook-line-and sinker. I would rather be with them and my hubby than anyone else on this beautiful earth and that's saying a lot because I really do like a lot of other people A LOT!!! I am grateful for the summer we had and the joy and happiness and memories we shared together. With that said, I will move on with my life and with my head held high. :-)

1) To Get Straight A’s and O’s

Plan of action: Work hard, do all my homework, spend time to get homework right, study for tests, listen to teacher and pay attention, pay attention and work hard on things that I struggle with (penmanship).

2) Become Student of the Month:

Plan of action: Be nice to everyone, be enthusiastic and funny, make people laugh, don’t talk in class, help teacher whenever she needs help, be a good friend.

3) Become really good at basketball:

Plan of action: Practice twice a week, get into a league, ask Dad for help, learn the rules of the game, work out, practice shooting and dribbling.

Taryn's Goals:

1) To Get Straight A’s

Plan of action: complete all homework correctly, study hard for tests, turn in all assignments correctly, listen close to teacher, don’t be afraid to ask questions.

2) Become Student of the Month:

Plan of action: Help teacher when she needs it, be helpful to everyone in the class, be a friend to everyone, build people up, not bring them down, keep grades up, be a good example.

3) Decide which sport I like best:

Plan of action: Work hard at every sport when I play it, play lots of sports with my friends, do the best I can in each. Ask questions about sports that I am interested in. Go to games with Dad or watch them on the T.V.

Money, Money, Money......ain't so funny!!!

So, it was time for all of my kids' six month check up at the dentist. My kids up until now, have never had any cavities. I actually didn't get my first cavity until a couple of years ago. So, I have never stressed about teeth so much. Anyway, I go back after the dentist has checked all of them and as expected, Taryn and Ty= NO CAVITIES. However, this appointment was Taevin's first dentist appointment and he has like EIGHT CAVITIES???!!!! What the what??? Yes, it's true. He said there was one that absolutely had to be taken care of right away. So, I paid for this appointment for all the kids which came to over $500.00!!! Then, I had to schedule an appointment for Taevin to get his cavity taken care of. This cost me almost $300.00! I don't know about you, but money it TIGHT right now, and this extra expense was a little deflating to me. Oh well, so goes life. Here is Taevin sitting in the dentist's chair with the laughing gas mask on. He sat as still as a statue the whole time. He was most likely their most perfect patient ever because he is too shy to make a peep. So, we are FAITHFULLY brushing Taevin's teeth morning and night, flossing, and rinsing their mouths with fluoride mouth wash. Hopefully this will make the difference. Cross your fingers for us. :-)
