Halloween 2009

Halloween was fun this year. I tried on a couple costumes on Taevin to see which one he liked. As you can see, he didn't like the dressing up idea.

Taryn has asked the last two years to be a Japanese girl, but it just didn't work out. I saw this costume at TJMax for $20.00 when I was in St. George, so I snagged it then. She was tickled pink.

Ty was stoked to be Darth Vador. We have like five light sabers, but he insisted I had to buy one with a red stick, because that was the color Vador's was. He got his wish.

Before trick-or-treating, we went to the neighborhood cookout. Here are some of the adorable kids that were there.

Yes, Taevin was just thrilled to be dressed up in his Yoda costume.

Now here is the best costume of the year: Newel Slade actually shaved his head to look like an old geazer. Priceless.

Eleven long years!

Danjee and I celebrated our eleventh anniversary last weekend. First, Danjee came home with two dozen roses (like always) and a tripod stand for my camera (I take really crooked pictures). Then, we dropped the kids off at Grandma's and went out on the town. We went to Olive Garden and stuffed our faces. YUMMM. We then went to our house (because we are dirt poor) and had a lovely evening together there, just the two of us. We slept in and then went to breakfast at Crackers in Mesa. I gained like five pounds in two meals. It was bliss.
Danjee and I do not keep it secret that our marriage is TOUGH!!! Marriage is not something that has come easy to either one of us. One thing is for certain and something we always fall back on is that we both absolutely, 100%, passionately, love the heck out of each other. Danjee has my whole heart, hook line and sinker. For as many "tough times" as we have had, there have been that many more "good times". I love you babe! Here's to eleven more years of being with you!

Pumpkins Anyone?

We have a tradition of carving pumpkins with our friends and their families every year for Halloween. Taryn and Ty did our pumkin pretty much on their own. They were pretty proud of their finished product.

We Are Not EXEMPT!

Well, the flu has hit the Moser household in full force. Ty was the last to get it and woke up this morning with a really high fever. Taryn and Taevin are better now. Hopefully, Ty will be better as soon as possible for his sake. I am just praying that Danjee and I don't get sick. We really don't have the time to be sick. That would really be inconvenient for us. :-)

Happy Birthday to Me!!!

So, my birthday started out superbly. I went for a bike ride with my pals, Kris and Rachele (who bought us matching shirs for the occasion). I woke up to my door decorated by the Relief Society and my lawn heart attacked by my sister, Em, and her kids.

Danjee took me to breakfast and then we came home and I slept while Danjee planted me some flowers and our winter grass. When I woke up, Danjee and I got ready and did sealings with some of our ward members at the Temple. Then, my friends threw me a little shin dig at the Oram's house after temple night. That went a little overboard (as usual) with decorations and all.

Look at all those candles!!!!!!!! The wind almost blew them all out right after we got them lit.

Thanks to everyone who had a part in making my day so special. I am so happy to be blessed with such wonderful friends and family who care so much about me and do the "little things" they know will make me happy.

Halloween Party

Taryn had a Halloween party she was invited to yesterday. She had been counting down the days all week so that she could go. Well, she woke up not feeling quite so good and kind of layed around all day. I told her she probably wouldn't be able to go to the party, but she wouldn't even think of it. She was bound and determined to go, and muscled through not feeling well, so that she could. She told me they played a game to see who could stuff the most marshmellows in their mouths. She was only watching, not actually participating and she ran in the other room and gagged. She had a blast and hopefully, she didn't pass a "bug" around to the other girls.
